Under the L Chicago Tote Bag

The Chicago series is inspired by iconic scenes around the city and were designed shortly after the Gucha Gucha team moved to the city. This green print features a view of the city from under the ‘L’ tracks, perhaps on Lake Street? These tote bags are made out of heavy weight cotton and are personally tested for durability. Use them for groceries, book shopping, beach bag, city bag, etc. They have a natural unbleached color with speckled cotton seeds visible throughout.

Bag is 15 x 15 x 3.5 inches with 3.5 inch gusset width. The handle length is 22.5 inches. It is made from 12oz. natural cotton, and printed by hand using water-based inks. Machine wash, cold water, inside out.

Gucha Gucha ぐちゃぐちゃ is a creative studio and shop featuring original screen-printed art and a curated selection of goods that connect us to our cultures. It was founded in 2019 by Maksim Barkhatov (he/him) and Kasumi Chow (they/she) — a creative duo with branding, design, photography, and art direction backgrounds. The shop's name is a Japanese onomatopoeia which means messy or messed with. We are immigrants reclaiming our messy diasporas. The understanding of our own cultures enables us to create our own inclusion.
